ECM Steam Tip Set - 3, 4, 5 Hole Tips

The number of holes in a steam wand’s tip determines a lot about how powerfully it steams and the physics of directional flow within your pitcher. With ECM’s 3, 4, and 5-hole tip set, you get a wide range of options to help you experiment with the frothing style that best suits you. 

As you add holes to your steam tip, you reduce the directional force coming out of each hole, but increase the ease with which you can achieve that perfect roil to incorporate the air. 

Three Hole Tip—great middle-ground that balances ease of frothing with ability to incorporate air for latte art. 

Four Hole Tip—creates a better roil but incorporates less air; a good option for beginners.  

Five Hole Tip—the best option for those just starting out; easy to get a good roil, but won’t incorporate as much air so latte art may be difficult.

These steam tips are compatible with the current line of ECM espresso machines that feature a male-threaded steam wand. They will not work on Profitec machines.
